Best Netflix Lesbian Shows and Movies to Watch Right Now

Netflix has in recent years taken over our homes and given us endless entertainment at our fingertips. I remember being an early user of Netflix back when they only offered DVDs by mail. It was a huge part of my being able to watch The L Word when it first came out in secrecy without needing to publicly rent it at a local Blockbuster.

Back then there were few if any, good options for lesbian movies to watch on Netflix. Since then, the company has greatly increased the number of LGBTQ films and TV shows to stream on its platform, including many original series. We're so glad to see more representation of lesbian and queer couples on TV!

To save you time from sifting through all the potential options, we've put together a list of the best lesbian movies, documentaries, and shows to stream on Netflix right now.

The Fear Street trilogy has a main character Deena, and she has a relationship with Sam (both girls). Also you could add Skam Spain, it’s a remake of the Norwegian tv series Skam, and the second season is about Cris falling in love with Joana (also Joana has bpd, so it’s a very interesting character).

                  cata

Can I give a suggestion to add to the lesbian shows section? It’s very different, but She-ra and the Princesses of Power is a very inclusive show! Yes, it’s an animated kids show, but all the characters have some LGBTQ+ aspect and there’s lots of confirmed queer relationships by the end!

                  M

Don’t watch “Dead to Me” unless your a lesbian who likes watching straight TV don’t know why half of the list is here if it’s not even based for lesbians. They have a small lesbian character in a whole straight focused world.

Van Helsing for me is also a good lesbian series in Netflix.
                  Sarah (Doc) x Jolene
