Both Chia and I have always struggled to find LGBTQ greeting cards to gift to each other during different special occasions of our relationship, so we decided to launch our very own collection of cute, romantic lesbian cards that represented us (and hopefully other lesbian couples out there) inspired by our slice-of-life comic!
While many of our greeting cards can be gifted to your girlfriend, wife, or partner for any occasion such as Valentine’s Day, birthdays, anniversaries, and Christmas, below are our top 12 favorite cards that we think are perfect for this upcoming hearts day.
For extra inspiration, we also included additional Valentine’s day gift ideas to pair the card with!
1. Roses are Red, Violets are Blue...
A cute, playful card to tell your partner that you love them in a very playful way. I will admit that Chia can be very poetic when she tries, but in case you need help coming up with a romantic and silly poem for your girlfriend this Valentine’s Day, this card will help you do just that.
💡 Bonus Gift Idea: Pair this card with a beautiful, easy-to-care for bouquet or modern potted plant from The Sill.
2. Favorite Spoon
Inspired by the Sesame But Different lesbian comic titled, “Nudge".
One of our signature and best-selling lesbian greeting cards. A sweet visual paired with a simple message to tell your partner how much you enjoy spooning them. Even after all these years, I still never get tired of spooning Chia whenever we sleep.
💡 Bonus Gift Idea: Pair this card with a comfy wearable blanket hoodie.
3. Home in Your Arms
Inspired by the Sesame But Different lesbian comic titled, “Pillows".
The saying “home is where the heart is” couldn’t be truer whenever you’re in the arms of the love of your life. Whenever Chia and I are separated (no matter how brief of a period of time) and then reunited, I always feel like I’m back home in her arms.
💡 Bonus Gift Idea: Pair this card with a cute animal plushie hand warmer.
4. It Doesn’t Get Better Than This
Inspired by the Sesame But Different lesbian comic titled, "Important Morning Decisions".
It’s the simple things in life that bring us the most joy. This card was inspired by how much we enjoy spending time together and sometimes our best days are just napping together at home, all snuggled up and cozy in bed.
💡 Bonus Gift Idea: Pair this card with a Getaway vacation where it’s just you two enjoying quality time alone and stargazing.
5. Shower You with Love
Inspired by the Sesame But Different lesbian comic titled, “Shower".
While showering together can sometimes be logistically challenging (see our comic about this here), I still love showering Chia with my love every day. If you relate to this, then what better way to do so on Valentine’s Day than with this card that says it all.
💡 Bonus Gift Idea: Pair this card with a surprise spa and massage day.
6. Cooking
While I’m not the best chef in the kitchen, I’m lucky that Chia is very easy going and always loves my cooking no matter what. This lesbian greeting card was inspired by this fact with a special twist though… so if you like a naughty LGBTQ Valentine’s Day card, this card is a great choice. 😉
💡 Bonus Gift Idea: Pair this card with a mini hearts waffle/pancake maker.
7. Lay Like This Forever
Inspired by the Sesame But Different lesbian comic titled, “An Everyday Conversation."
This has happened to Chia and I countless times before where the two of us would be cuddling in the most perfect position and I think to myself, “I could lay like this forever”, but then my leg starts to get numb and one of you has to move/readjust your position. If this happens to you and your partner too, then they’ll definitely appreciate this cute lesbian greeting card.
💡 Bonus Gift Idea: Pair this card with a pillow made for cuddling that prevents your arms from going numb.
8. Main Squeeze
Inspired by the Sesame But Different lesbian comic titled, “Time and Place".
For those who are familiar with our slice-of-life comic, many of the episodes feature a recurring theme of Chia grabbing my butt… so if you and your girlfriend, wife, or partner also relate to this, then this is the perfect LGBTQ Valentine’s Day card for you to gift!
💡 Bonus Gift Idea: Pair this card with these adorable dumpling squishy stress balls.
9. Favorite Treat
I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels the urge to want to eat their partner because they smell so delicious to you… or am I…? Anyways, this is a funny (and romantic imo) lesbian card that tells your partner they’re your favorite treat.
💡 Bonus Gift Idea: Pair this card with a date night out to her favorite restaurant or a custom dessert box filled with delicious cookies and goodies.
10. Forever Valentine
Whenever I think of forever with Chia, I think of the lyric from "Marry Me" by Train: “Forever can never be long enough for me to feel like I’ve had long enough with you”. While Valentine’s Day may only be one day of the year, you can use this holiday to let them know that they’ll always be your forever Valentine.
💡 Bonus Gift Idea: Pair this card with digital music photo frame that plays her favorite playlist.
11. You Still Give Me Butterflies
This card is for all of the lesbian couples out there who have been with their partners for many years, but even after all that time, you still get butterflies when you look at or touch them. It’s definitely one of the best feelings in the world.
💡 Bonus Gift Idea: Pair this card with a trip to the botanical gardens or a natural museum where you can encounter real-life butterflies together.
12. We're Meant to Be
Inspired by the Sesame But Different lesbian comic titled, “Perfect Fit".
How do you know when you’ve found the one? Sometimes, you just know. It’s a gut feeling that you get deep down when you’re snuggling with that person that you two fit perfectly together and were just meant to be. This cute lesbian card encapsulates that sentiment.
💡 Bonus Gift Idea: Pair this card with a custom jigsaw puzzle gift.
